Unfortunately, bromeliads die after blooming. Now that the flower is removed it should produce pups to live on in her name. One of my cryptanthus (part of bromeliad family) gave me two rounds of pups after blooming. She’s kicking the hay now and dying from the center outward. This process may take up to a year to complete. Once the pups are popped off mom, she’ll die faster. Pups also have a better chance the longer they stay attached to mom; let them get about 1/3 size. They pop off mom easy with a gentle tug.
That's right, thanks! I'm waiting for pups to pop up, however long that'll take.
