Hey
#SilkTree I know winter months are coming up. I was wondering if I can go ahead and plant this little tree out side or do I need to wait til it gets a little bigger. I got it off a tree in my mother laws back yard. Itβs a big beautiful tree so Iβm assuming out side wonβt hurt it.

They do not grow well in coastal areas because of the soil's high salt content. The trees prefer hot summer temperatures and full sunlight but tolerate some shade. Allow about 15 feet for the tree to spread its canopy if you are planting the Persian silk tree near a house, by a deck, patio or in a garden.
Are silk trees frost hardy?
It's hardy down to 20Β°C. The purple-brown foliage will be a true eye-catcher in the garden! More generally, it is said that the silk tree resists temperatures below freezing down to about 23Β°F (-5Β°C).
