Hi Abby! Do you have a photo of the entire rose bush you could share? Several things can cause leaves to get yellow and crispy, but my initial guess considering the climate where you live is heat stress. A 9" pot will dry out crazy fast in that heat, so you might need to either water more frequently, more thoroughly (soaking the entire pot until it pours out drainage holes), or both. But a photo would be helpful so we can eliminate other possible causes 😊
I wrapped the pot in aluminum foil- i read somewhere that would help the pot not get so hot
