Jumbo Alocasia from Trader Joe’s!

β€œHello world!” β€” Mothie πŸ˜›

I named her Mothie because I found a moth underneath one of the leaves the next morning after I brought her back from TJs. Hence the name. I’m not sure if I should be worried lol ?? In case the moth is eating the leaves ?? So sorry for the dumb question, but I’m new to the plant world. Maybe I should try paying closer attention if there are anymore moths. πŸ˜…

I have a money tree which has a moth cocooning under a leaf. Doesn’t seem to harm the plant. Not sure what it means either πŸ˜…
That’s a great Trader Joe’s find! I haven’t seen giant alocasia there
Nothing to worry about! Most moths don’t even have mouth parts once they come out of their cocoons. Keep an eye out for any caterpillars though, in case she laid eggs. They’ll definitely start munching on the leaves.
Trader Joe’s seriously has been on point for great plants lately.
