New leaves are dying before uncurling

Sounds like it's not being watered correctly. Wait until it's completely dry. If you stick your finger down in the soil 2 inches and it doesn't feel like dry dirt it's still moist enough. If the leaves are looking sad and it feels rubbery rather than firm, it needs water. Then put it in the sink or bathtub and turn a spray stream on it until the soil rises to the top. It will look messy. Wait until the water level goes all the way down and then fill it again. Wait until the water level goes down and then do it again.

Soak - dry out - soak - dry out. This is the how the process should go.

Your plants soil will dry out in the winter because of the dry air, but the lack of sunlight makes it dial back the photosynthesis. So it isn't actually using all the water you're giving it, and it's staying too wet too long.

Yellowing leaves mean it can't photosynthesize enough for all the leaves. Photosynthesis happens with water + sunlight. Too much water with not enough sunlight to process that water = yellow leaves. That's why sometimes it can be too much water and sometimes it can mean not enough light.
It’s defirnely gotten dry before I water, and I soak it well making sure for no air pockets. Definitely not over watering..I think it might actually be a big of some sorf. The leaves are quite pink on colour, is this normal for a more juvenille one?
Good luck decifering that haha
