"Twins?"

I've been waiting for this leaf to unfurl since I brought this plant home. Today, it popped! And it seems there were 2 leaves coming! Are "twins" normal? #thatalaskalife

Not sure. But that’s so cool! Don’t see how it would be bad for the plant. Seems like one of those cool little things that happen every nowand then! 😻
I think this is just cause it was stuck for a while. The new leaf is pushing the old one out. ☺️
@RJG so the newbie was impatient and pushy πŸ˜… I love it.
@AstroMind I got SO excited but also confused πŸ˜… I forgot to add this plant after I got it and questioned its ID but the large leaf has been there since I got it almost 2 weeks back and I'd assumed it was just a slow grower but most philos ARENT super slow in my experience? So this is a very exciting thing to wake up to!
I have had this happen to my self heading philodendrons as well. However I don't own a panduriforme. I do have the following self heading philodendrons, though, and have seen the same growth padern on them as well..: Green Congo, Congo Rojo, Prince of Orange, Imperial Red (non climbing) , and a couple of (baby) Black Cardinals.
I'm not sure how closely related they are to the Panduriforme other than all being from the same philodendron family. My guess is this is a normal thing and you will most likely see it every time she/he gets a new leaf.
