is this a cat / pet-safe plant? #PlantID #whatisthisplant

greg ID’d it as an “italian strawflower”, but it’s labeled as a “silver spike” and the scientific name is …not specific 😩 i got mixed answers when I tried to look it up, so i’m not 100% sure it’s safe for my cat to be nearby.

so far my cat is uninterested in it, but I’d like to know if it’s something I can keep nearby, or if I should move it out of reach. 🤔 cat for reference.

Your cat should be safe. But I would keep the plant away and out of reach from your cat. Better to be safe than sorry.

Helichrysum is an amazing plant! So many uses, I'm obsessed. However mind also reside atop a bookshelf where my 16 year old kitty has no desire to interact.
