So, this day I was walking near a compost mountain near my garden and I saw some suspicious sprouts, those sprouts that I can identify everywhere because I grew thousands of those plants before... SOMEONE THREW AWAY AN ENTIRE GARLIC HEAD! @DesertGreen soil: regular plant soil + a bit of peat + ash, regular watering schedule, if possible cover the top of the soil with dead leaves, in a year or two you will have a new beautiful garlic! And don't forget the 4 rule: 4 inches deep, 4 inches apart
Potting mix is ok, I personally use wood ash but it's not obligatory to add it
