How much water for my Lawson Cypress?

How much water do I give my plant ? On this app it says 1/2 cup but I don’t think that’s enough . Any tips ??

1/2 cup has been plenty for my 4" pots, occasionally I give them a little extra splash, but not too much extra (:

Basically you want to fully Saturday the soil but not make mud if that makes sense (:

Yes thank you so much it’s just when I do 1/2 a cup it doesn’t drain out of the holes so that’s why I didn’t think it’s getting enough water

Try bottom watering from now on. (: If it doesn't soak all the way to the top right away wait a couple hours and check again. I find my SOP still looks dry on top at first but then after a couple hours the water does what water does and the top will be wet. You can even go up a little if you want to because with bottom watering the soil won't absorb more than it can handle... (: Hope that helps!
