A different type of runner?
Hey #Echeveria people, can you clue me into whatβs going on here? I have this echeveria which I adore, but it really really wants to reproduce. It throws out these little rosettes all the time, and the little βnot really leaves but I canβt remember their nameβ fall off if you so much as look at them funny. And even sitting on the counter, each one throws out four-ish roots looking for soil. Itβs madness.
Anyway, I noticed a bit ago that I have three of these runners that were clearly more dense than the ones Iβm used to. Just tighter packing, more points. I figured they were flower stalks and let them be. Today, I realized that theyβre not growing up like Iβd expect flowers to, but theyβre actually curving down more than the usual runners do.
Any thoughts? #SucculentSquad #Succulents #SucculentLove #Succulent #plantparts #whatisthis #WhatIsHappening #WhatIsMyPlantDoing

@slayonium bracht, thatβs the one, thank you. So, anything worth reading into the different stalks seeming so different from each other, dense versus not so? Iβll let these develop to see whatβs what. I guess Iβm used to echeveria stalks being a little more assertive than these, e.g. attached
@Charli3Plant Iβm going to let those go and see how they develop. If theyβre flower stalks then this little gal has been flowering almost constantly like Iβve never seen before, and itβll be interesting to see what it does
@PlantAgenet117 oh wow - I got this echeveria in a seed mix, so I donβt know what it is (and it could be an open pollinated hybrid), but images of echeveria prolifica are a close match!
