Question about Dudleya care! I’m in zone 7b and I was wondering if I should take my dudleya Candelabrum indoors and place it on a south facing window sill in a finished basement that is cool and dry. Or should I leave it outside so it can finish summer dormancy and take it inside by the basement window? It’s just looking kinda sad right now, I don’t water it at all since it’s dormant but its under the porch shelter which faces the sunset and gets moisture from occasional rains in North Carolina. Went Lowe's this morning for a pump sprayer. These 2 followed me out the store. 🤷‍♀️🤣 Ive got to spray the sweet potato vine when I get home. #TheWateringHole Hello All, and Good Afternoon, I have been feeling rather lackadaisical these past few weeks. It seems that my “Get Up And Go”, got up and left? I keep telling myself that I should be doing this, that, and the other but I cannot seem to get anyof it done! Oh well, tomorrow is another day! I did manage to get the plants watered, those that needed watering. So today there are 20 more asking for attention/water. And I did find a new bloom on the Rebutia Albipilosa, did you know that cacti need much more water when they are blooming, or to get them to flower. But the line between a bit more water and overwatering is very fine! And the correct balance is crucial. On my walk yesterday I saw these blooming Frangipani, it had just stopped raining and the colors looked so intense I had to take pictures. Of course I couldn’t overlook the BoP. And I don’t know who that little yellow flower belongs to, but it looked so perfect with the water droplets I just had to post it. Please keep in mind that these aren’t mine and they live outside by the parking lot. I’m sorry to say that I’m in the hospital having dislocated and broken my ankle while getting out of my car at the grocery store. Fortunately there were people ready to help and get me an ambulance and to the hospital. It looks like I’ll not be walking for the next five weeks and I’ll be in a senior living place and switching from there to the hospital. My daughter has come from New York to be with me but none of them are really plant people and Kate can’t be away from work that long. So I’m worried about my succulents. And I may not be able to have my puppies with me. So I’m trying to figure out a plan to get those two problems solved. I wonder if there are plant sitters like dog sitters which I may have found. Fortunately the plants don’t need much watering. But I miss my furry and greeny babies. @Idplantthat @MariansOasis @MockingJay @princesspitstop @debbiedo #SucculentSquad #TheWateringHole
