Good morning, everybody! 🌱 What’s the best way to get these succulent cuttings to develop roots so they can eventually grow into new plants? I can’t ever get it right #NewGrowth #SucculentSquad #rerooting #HappyPlants @Onepiece.plants @FamedGymealily

literally just dont do anything to them, they root on their own. this is by far the best, most accurate video ive seen on leaf propagation: https://youtu.be/zdnXVd6JgcA
Is that a jellybean plant? I have one do you have any tips also I would try putting it in a petri dish on damp paper towels
@tinyplantlover no there graptoveria and gravestone. That’s an idea 🤗 I was told to let it calic in the dark and when place it over dry soil but they always rot
Cactus are Succulents any growth node that touches dirt can root. Simply lay them on top of the soil in the pot & continue on like normal b4 u know it you’ll have so many it becomes annoying Xmas/Thanksgiving cactus in pics
@OhGollyItsJolly thank you so much for that. I will do that so how do I do go about watering it does it have to be dry soil or wet soil I don’t mind growing more and more succulents because it’s sad when they drop their leaves and I can’t seem to successfully get them to reproduce
When I was in 7th grade someone grew some kind of succulent in a petri dish 🧫 it is still alive rn
Did the same thing with my dragon fruit now those lil babies can be a nightmare and couldn’t find any pictures of the babies. The microscopic needle hairs is what makes them a nightmare as far as baby cactuses, specifically dragon fruit cactus in my experiences. Never really cared for cactus because of the thorns. I really don’t like them now. I hope I can tolerate this one long enough to have some alien grenades. 👽 lol nodes grow further apart thorns get bigger so far it seems the bigger they get the less of those thorns are anything to worry about unless you get too crazy succulents growth node is at the bottom of the leaflet. Just slightly stick it in the ground. As far as watering. That is definitely not my specialty. Some of these ladies on here will have the best advice not me. Being honest my succulent drop leaves from over watering and they make their own babies so I would think moist soil was the key for more babies as long as it’s not too moist.
My dragon fruit cactus is about 6 foot tall and in a 5 gallon square pot climbing up a square tomato cage I give it roughly a half a gallon a week its in plain potting soil with some perlite. nothing fancy like they all say you have to have.
Fine example 2 quarts of premium bonsai soil 25$ or more?? Then why do the people that have been doing bonsai for 70+ years use topsoil? lol $$$ big fertilizer & soil companies that’s why.
fun fact, before I leave your questions to someone with expertise in the field.
Willow water has been used as rooting hormone for 100s of years of not longer. You can’t patent Willow so they create the exact same chemical in a lab and sell it to you.
 Indolebutyric Acid (IBA)
@OhGollyItsJolly thank you for sharing your knowledge 🤗🪴
