White fluffy mold found growing on the surface soil of my...

I’ve used this pot before with a ripple jade and never got any mold before so what gives? Is this mold harmless or should I change out the soil or spray with diluted hydrogen peroxide? #planthelp #SucculentSquad #Succulents #PlantClinic #Aeonium soil">#moldysoil

its harmless but it means the soil's retaining too much water. so itd be safest to switch it out for a grittier mix and set up a fan for better air circulation
@HotKanna92 Thanks! Its so weird, I don’t even water it that often but I guess it needs even less water since its in a ceramic pot with the drainage bowl built onto the bottom of the pot. Can’t really tilt the excess water out without tilting out the soil too. It’s currently in a succulent soil mixture of Carolina red sand, pea gravel, orchid bark, and silica sand but I’ll try adding more pea gravel.
