Wow, since I come over to Greg from Facebook I have found it to be a great forum, not only to learn but to post my photography of plants from the Green Swamp Wilderness Preserve and the Withlacoochee State Forest in west central Florida. I posted this photo to help identify this plant. Here is a plant that, maybe, few people see although they are very common here in the swamps or almost anywhere ditches can be found. This a Water Hemlock plant. It looks very much, in appearance , to Queen Ann’s lace. The difference is there is a purple coloration in the stems where they bifurcate. The flowers also are larger. If you see one do not even touch it. I found some moving dots in the new growth on my Swiss Mint Monstera. I took care of them immediately and moved the plant to its own area. I saw another moving in the soil but lost it. This is probably one of the last photos taken of it. I’ve have not been over there in a long time. Happy Monday! Rainy day today on Long Island, but the green is Lush! I picked up these 2 new Alocasia (one looks just like a philodendron golden crock without the color) but is a type of Alocasia I never heard of. My caladium bloom has went to sleep (wasn’t pollinated) so it redirected its energy towards the leaves, and she’s big and beautiful and full. New leaf coming on my monstera New leaf unfurled & new leaf coming on my ruby ficus New leaf coming on my 3 kings syngonium Prayer plant props are pushing out new growth 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I have blue mint monstera and Burle Marx in their humidity domes. Still some rust fungus appearing on my regular mint monstera. I’m 4 treatments in, and although there’s new growth- it’s localized. So I do believe I stopped the spread. Good morning everyone. Its a very rainy morning here in west central Florida. I hope all is well with you. Here’s a picture of a flower that I took a few weeks ago while hiking out in the green swamp area. My Plant ID app calls it a “Pale Meadow Beauty”. I’m not sure if that is correct. However, I thought it looked interesting so I took its picture. It could be something invasive.
