Good morning everyone I hope you and your plants are blooming well. It’s another hot one in Central Florida. I got up at sunrise and finished most of my gardening. I worked more on my butterfly garden, putting in more seeds, black-eyed Susans and purple cone flowers. In addition I planted the plants that I bought at the master gardeners nursery Saturday. 🌻🪻 This is a photo I took a giant swallowtail butterfly getting nectar from a Lantana plant. If you look closely, you can see his “tongue” in the flower. @Preciousplants1 , i’ve been working on a butterfly garden for weeks. Most of it all native Florida plants. I realize that the native Florida flowering plants were going to draw the most local butterflies. I have been buying Florida native plants at the independent nurseries and also planning thousands of seeds.
