Repotting this morning, I do love a good overcast, warm morning to work with your buddies. Feeling pretty blessed to be able to do it. #naturesstudent I feel like days like this make being a nature student the greatest! Worked all day yesterday on my plants. I was not planning on doing a garden vegetable; I usually just help my mom do hers. But this year we have my brother and my sister plus their families back living in the area. So we needed to step up the veggies this year. I’ve NEVER grown broccoli, artichokes, or carrots from seeds, but what the Hades! I got the seeds; let’s see what we can do. Finding somewhere I can plant my tomatoes without affecting my berries. 🤔 So I settled on a kinda forgotten part of my backyard. It’s right between an old cinder block 🧱 shed and the greenhouse. I figured my vents open to the veggies this way so it makes them get a little more humidity as well as it stays warm back there year-round and blocks them from heavy winds. Pausing to remember all those who gave their time to keep us safe 🙏Memorial Day weekend. 🎖️🪖🫡. Thank you! 🪖🎖️🫡 It’s a cloudy morning here on the coast in San Diego ☁️ 🌫️ the typical May Grey which will soon become June Gloom 😶‍🌫️🫣. It is actually very nice because I can leave plants in the sunny spots all day without worrying about harsh rays ☀️ ☀️ ☀️, until mid-July 🤪. In all the fog and grey however, there is a shining star 🌟 today… the Copper Queen orchid blooms popped open!🎉👍 Hopefully the pics are not sideways! Have you noticed any fixed glitches? I see the camera/photo library selection is bigger now and easier to select, that’s good news 📰!!🙌. BUT editing is horrible! I can’t get the cursor to work properly, not all the time but a lot, and especially if an emoji is involved 😳😮🙀. Any way…. with the long weekend it’s been a little quiet in Gregland 🤫😶😴. My Hoya Carnosa Compacta plant is NOT well. Anyone of my plant friends that can offer advice/help to me would make me very happy. It was not real healthy when I got her, but since has been going downhill rapidly. HELP! Thank you 😊 #TheWateringHole

I’m so excited for my “comebacks!” The first two are Variegated Fallopia Multiflora. I love the Fallopia, it literally sparkles ✨ The other two are my sweet comeback alocasias. One of my favorite alocasias is Variegated Alocasia baginda 'Dragon Scale' (Mint/Aurea variant). Lastly is a Stardust Alocasia. ☺️ Does anyone else have some comebacks, or cuttings you are doing? Share your comebacks and let us know how you did it. I think we can learn and improve no matter the skill level. A huge Thank You 🙏 to Stephanie @stephonicle for so generously sharing some variegated SOH cuttings with me 💚🤍🩷. It’s been a minute 🤪 since I attempted keeping SOH (which was not very successful btw ☹️). I’m ready now to jump back in, with Steph’s encouragement 👍🙌📣!! So I’m trying 1 on soil and the other on sphagnum moss. Both are in partially opened ziplock bags so humidity is high but there’s airflow. Blossoms ready to bust out on the Hoya compacta! When I added the photo to my guys gallery it looks like he has a flower crown 🌸👑🌸 Such a cutie patootie 🥹🤭. Got a question too though…. when a plant needs watering, why do some of the pictures show a sad emoji 😞 and some are sleeping with a lock 🔒 on the pic 😴 🔒? Plus, has anyone heard when our pics will be normal again?
