My plants I was happily working on today. The blue pot Ocotillo, just sold, so he’ll be making a new home. It’s bittersweet, it’s a favorite of mine. My Kalanchos have gone wild. They are a little of a mess. Happy Tuesday #TheWateringHole! I haven’t been on Greg as much lately as the summer has me extra distracted ☀️ Rather than tackling my actual to-dos, I’ve been…(wait for it)…playing with plants! 🪴 😂 On Sunday one of our friends (who’s an incredible gardener) hosted a garden party and now I’m daydreaming about adding all.the.things to our tiny yard 🌱🍓🍅🫛🍈🌷 For today, I’ve pulled myself together enough to get my new propagation station set up 🌱🌱🌱 These are all left over from the craft sale. I’ll probably give most of them away before they get TOO big…because you KNOW there are always more cuttings waiting in the wings! 🙌 What are you all propagating these days? #debbiedo

Good, Sunday, morning everyone. I have a question. 🤔 I have discovered, literally, hundreds of American beauty berries growing on my property. My friends are telling me I should pot them and sell them. I potted three so far, for my own oasis, and to see how well they do in pots. Do people buy these plants? What do you think? As I mentioned earlier I spent decades cutting mowing them down. Now I am reading that they have many uses including jam, attract pollinators, birds love the berries and the leaves, 🍃🍂allegedly are a natural mosquito repellent. We did it! Our first craft show is complete!!! 🙌🌱☀️ I sold about half my plants and more than half of my pots 🎉 Similar for my husband’s woodcraft items ❤️ It’s a good thing we’re not trying to make a living 😂, but we had a GREAT time and will definitely do it again! I’m going to spend some of my earnings on a shelving unit with grow lights for the office/guest room where I can keep propagations to gift/sell 🌱 ANY SUGGESTIONS?!? Good morning, beautiful Plant people. It’s another hot one in Florida today. It’s still morning and it’s 90°. I spent most of the morning at the county master gardeners nursery. I purchased a couple of blanket plants and another passion vine and learning new things. The purple flowered bush is a Miele cup sage. It’s a great pollinator and it had dozens of bees on it. I have watered all plants for today, originally there were 34 that needed attention. I was able to reduce that number to 24 that actually needed water. But any cacti that weren’t waiting for more than 2 weeks for water had to wait for a couple of additional days! What I discovered was that the Mammillaria Bocasana had yet one more tiny bloom. I get so excited when I see how hard those cacti work to produce the little blooms! The crown of Thorns has also produced new blooms. The rest are newcomers to the oasis! The third pic is the Monadenium Ritchiei and number four is the Euphorbia Obesa and the last picture for this evening is the new Ficus Ginseng, to my chagrin its predecessor did not survive. I am hoping to have better luck with this one🤞🤞🤞!! Hope you all have a wonderful remainder of your evening and enjoy the upcoming weekend. Stay safe everyone!

Hello everyone , here are two Bald Cypress trees I found while going through some of my old Facebook posts. I took these photos a long time ago with my old 35 mm film camera. This is along the Withlacoochee River just south of the Silver Lake recreation area on the Florida Trail. These trees, when they get older,grow into many very weird shapes and forms. I think this one is one of the weirder ones that I took. This is about 6 miles west of The headwaters photo that I posted. Good, Sunday, morning everyone. I have a question. 🤔 I have discovered, literally, hundreds of American beauty berries growing on my property. My friends are telling me I should pot them and sell them. I potted three so far, for my own oasis, and to see how well they do in pots. Do people buy these plants? What do you think? As I mentioned earlier I spent decades cutting mowing them down. Now I am reading that they have many uses including jam, attract pollinators, birds love the berries and the leaves, 🍃🍂allegedly are a natural mosquito repellent. We did it! Our first craft show is complete!!! 🙌🌱☀️ I sold about half my plants and more than half of my pots 🎉 Similar for my husband’s woodcraft items ❤️ It’s a good thing we’re not trying to make a living 😂, but we had a GREAT time and will definitely do it again! I’m going to spend some of my earnings on a shelving unit with grow lights for the office/guest room where I can keep propagations to gift/sell 🌱 ANY SUGGESTIONS?!? Good morning, beautiful Plant people. It’s another hot one in Florida today. It’s still morning and it’s 90°. I spent most of the morning at the county master gardeners nursery. I purchased a couple of blanket plants and another passion vine and learning new things. The purple flowered bush is a Miele cup sage. It’s a great pollinator and it had dozens of bees on it. I have watered all plants for today, originally there were 34 that needed attention. I was able to reduce that number to 24 that actually needed water. But any cacti that weren’t waiting for more than 2 weeks for water had to wait for a couple of additional days! What I discovered was that the Mammillaria Bocasana had yet one more tiny bloom. I get so excited when I see how hard those cacti work to produce the little blooms! The crown of Thorns has also produced new blooms. The rest are newcomers to the oasis! The third pic is the Monadenium Ritchiei and number four is the Euphorbia Obesa and the last picture for this evening is the new Ficus Ginseng, to my chagrin its predecessor did not survive. I am hoping to have better luck with this one🤞🤞🤞!! Hope you all have a wonderful remainder of your evening and enjoy the upcoming weekend. Stay safe everyone!

Hello everyone , here are two Bald Cypress trees I found while going through some of my old Facebook posts. I took these photos a long time ago with my old 35 mm film camera. This is along the Withlacoochee River just south of the Silver Lake recreation area on the Florida Trail. These trees, when they get older,grow into many very weird shapes and forms. I think this one is one of the weirder ones that I took. Here is another photograph that I took of Cypress trees along the Withlacoochee River. That may also be an American beauty berry bush that is growing wild at the bottom left of the photo. This is about 6 miles west of The headwaters photo that I posted.
