#TheWateringHole Good afternoon and Happy Saturday! It was a hellacious week at work, but today I’ve enjoyed tending plants, bird feeders, birdbath, hummingbird feeder, and a good walk around the neighborhood. When I got back from my walk, I snapped a few pics of our outdoor blooms. The flowering pots were bought last Sunday at Walmart and Home Depot so we can’t take any credit for those. God has provided plenty of water so we haven’t had to bother with that. I had to run out to Walmart from work on Monday to pick up something for a patient. I took a swing through the garden center to see if the pothos I had eyed the previous week was still there. I had been suffering from “will power remorse”. It was still there and still the only one of that particular one they had. Meet Albert, my Albo Pothos. Now, I really have to start excercising some will power!! I stopped in Ralph’s/Kroger today to look at plants because I was in that plaza at my bank. I wasn’t really going to buy anything. I have so many new plants plus I wanted to look for flowering plants and all they had were Kalanchoe and baby roses which I already have. Then as I was leaving empty handed, I saw this plant and I had to get it. I didn’t even know what it was but I love the orange. Turns out, it’s an orange spider plant or a Mandarin. Herb’s delivery! I want a little herb wild. 🤪 🌿🌬️ She had some of my favorites in stock, so I had to get them. I wasn’t expecting them to arrive so quickly. So now I’m anxiously awaiting the other mix now. Ugh, this is why people say: plan ahead..🧐🤨. Ain’t foresight just beautiful? 🤦‍♀️😂😅 Live and learn, but please just live, you little herby dudes! Anyone else been getting their herb on? I gotta say, herbs are so much harder for me to do, but only in the winter. And all winter. 🥶 😅 It’s like cinnamon and lavender. I love all those plants, and no matter how much I love them, they leave me. Usually not because I gave them away. Just in peace. 🪦 Little buddies. I didn’t mean to kill you. ☠️💔 But we got this. It finally came! Well, one part; the last part of my soil mix. Still waiting on the hydroguard… ugh… 😩 Why is it taking so long? 🙃🐌🩵🌸 In the meantime, I have finally finished repotting 72 plants and more to go… but I gotta take a little break. I got sweet pea flowers; I love the smell of sweet pea flowers. While they are super toxic to our furry friends, my dogs and cats have shown zero interest. Thank goodness! 😅 We now have sweet pea photos! Anyone growing sweet peas or anything else that smells so yummy and delicious? 😋 Ps- I’m so anxious today 😬 I’m supposed to have my soil delivery and my last thing I need for my water before I water my plants tonight. What do yall think about this potting setup? This is how I got it from the seller. No drainage just leca on the bottom and moss on top. Should I change anything?

Just wanting to show off lol- been wanting a Ruby Ficus forever, and it finally got here today! Was worried b/cuz it took 10 days to get here- dang USPS…and it’s hot- 90’s. It’s Wednesday at #TheWateringHole 🌿🌤️ Good morning everybody, or should I say good day [good evening, and goodnight!] ? After several days of ~95° 🥵 I am so very very grateful to be back down in the 70°s 😮‍💨 My plants, however, thought it was swell! As I was moving around my plants this morning I was thinking about the satisfying little tasks of plant care that are delightful. For me, one of my favorites is plucking off the totally brown and dried-up sheathes of cane begonia leaves. No force necessary, once they are brown and shriveled, I just touch them and they fall off in my hands. And I don’t *have* to do this, as they will fall off eventually by themselves, but it brings me joy. 🥰 Another one is when I water, and the saucer fills up but does not overflow, and later when I go to check all the water was sucked back up and the pot is the perfect “well-watered weight.” Do you have any small plant care tasks or activities that give you satisfaction or delight? Also, eeee, new Hoya callistophyla leaf 🥳 ⏱️Want to be notified of these posts when they come out? Had to repot my Snake rosettes because they were popping up out of the soil. Today I come out to water and I have a little pup!! I did not see it when I repotted- but it was there because I took a photo after I finished.
