Seems like it was to much moisture and humid and not able to properly breath. Maybe try getting the mold off and give it new soil mix

I agree with @HipAgavecactus definitely too much water. Does the pot have a drainage hole? 
And whay kind of soil is it?

Also you have some nice offshoots there if they start showing roots you can pluck them off and put them in soil
