Little weirdo. Now I just donβt know what itβs doing! Seems happy though, so keep doing your thing, you little goof. #Echeveria

@LittleSongbird Iβm guessing babies. I suspect that the growth is all at sites that were damaged during repotting
@CordialWildyam Absolutely gorgeous! Did you grow this one from seed too?
@LittleSongbird I did! I believe from an βecheveria species mixβ seed bag from phoenix desert seeds. Most came out as pretty generic echeveria, but there were a handful of real stunners. This one is possibly a grapto hybrid
@CordialWildyam That's amazing, wow!! How old is it?
@LittleSongbird Almost a year! Sown last February. About to start again this yearβ¦
@LittleSongbird love the quality and variety of your collection, btw. Those little cactus pups are adorable! I think weβre going to do cactus seeds next year
@CordialWildyam Aww, thanks!! I love yours a lot as well; I just can't imagine growing all that from seed, but I hope to eventually! Better keep me updated on the cactus seeds though-- I feel like it won't be far from now that you're planting your own hybrid!
@SimpleSucculent oh, it certainly is and I have no idea what Iβll do with all of them!
@CordialWildyam try pulling/clipping them? I know how to take care of must plant pups, but Echeveria just grows from random places of the plant, not the base! I would research it if I were you.
@SimpleSucculent yeah, Iβve done some looking around and found that itβs like I thought - echeveria will throw pups from any damaged growth point, and since I upset a bunch of leaves during repotting theyβre all paying me back with pups. Iβm letting them get a bit more mature (though a few have roots already!) and I may pot some up for friends and family but itβs just too many to keep all these sprouts
