Mom’s rose bush is sick. Can it be saved? Hi everyone! My mom planted this rose bush last spring. I think it got so tall because it was reaching for light; she put it in a spot that only gets morning sun. But more pressing than that, I noticed this black covering the bottom of the plant and it’s slowly creeping upwards. I’m assuming it’s some kind of fungal infection, but is there anything I can do to save this plant? Can I do a chop and prop with a rose bush? Lol. We already got a fungicide soil soak because we got an over abundance of rain last summer; it rained at least 3-4 days a week for the entire summer and ruined many plants, and her rhododendron has fungus spots on the leaves, so I was already planning to do a soil soak for that. Will that help this rose bush? And I’m seriously willing to do the chop and prop on this one if it’s feasible! Anyone have any ideas? Yellow leaves First time rose owner here, so I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong. Any advice is appreciated. It started turning yellow and dropping leaves a few days after I planted it in the ground. Located in Central Texas, faces southeast and receives full sun. I'm not sure if it's just stressed from transplanting to the ground from a pot or sunburn, pests, under/over watering, not enough nutrients, etc. Pictures are from today. #knockoutrose #roses #rosebush #texas

#OutdoorGrowing 1. My lilies are starting to flower! This was the first one to bloom this season! 2. My larkspur continues to bloom upwards and it’s looking lovelier all the time. 3. More of my lilies about to pop 🥰 4. My dozens and dozens of Black Eyed Susans are going to bloom soon, as well! Next week, I hope to be posting the results 🌻🌻🌻 And last but not least, one of the many caterpillars 🐛 who ravaged my rose bushes, actively eating a rose because they finished eating all the leaves… I’m a nature lover so I’m trying really hard to be patient with these little dudes, but O.M.G. 😡 my beautiful roses. Deer problems!! I have just started caring for a new garden, and I noticed deer have been having a great old time munching these plants!
