Finding light for Polka Dot Plant in your home
Polka Dot Plant may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Polka Dot Plant in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Polka Dot Plant
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Polka Dot Plant after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

I have a polka dot plant that I adore. I keep her at work because she loves the sunlight she gets at my office. She has grown sooo much but she is reaching. She’s gotten really stringy and keeps losing leaves on the bottom. I just repotted her and I don’t know why she’s losing so many leaves. She recently started growing flowers! (Which I didn’t know that they did!) so she’s clearly happy, but I think she could be happier and I don’t know how to fix her leaf loss. Does anyone have suggestions?? TIA!!!

Please help! Her leaves are losing color and getting crispy edges. #PolkaDotPlant

What to do with this #polkadotplant flowers? At the beginning, I was happy to see so many flowers 😍, but I'm starting to miss the beautiful leaves 🥲 Would the plant be ok if I just chop all of them? #floweringplants #plantaddict #plantsmakepeoplehappy #chop #outdoorgrowing

It seems to lose all its leaves close to the soil with a few leaves at the end of an 8” empty vine. What am I doing wrong, how can I fix it? Gaga (Kelly) #PolkaDotPlant

I repotted only 10 days ago and the roots are already coming through the drainage holes. Is this okay? I read that they should be repotted when their roots are coming out of the drainage holes but surely it can’t be ready again😂 also I have attached a photo of the plant when I got it, it’s more than doubled in size in the last couple of months

Edith is doing so well. I’m just waiting for another set of leaves before I move the random #Coleus to its own pot.
