White Apple Moth Orchid
About White Apple Moth Orchid
Phalaenopsis orchids get their name from the Greek 'phalaina' meaning moth, as their flowers are thought to resemble moth or butterfly wings! 🦋 Once their flowers have blossomed, they will eventually die but the plant will live one and continue to produce new flower spikes throughout its life. Orchid flowers evolved to attract pollinators and ther unique shape helps keep insects safe while collecting and dispersing pollen! 🐝

How to fertilize White Apple Moth Orchid

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.

To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your White Apple Moth Orchid after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Do orchids like to be root bound? Thinking of repotting my orchid 🤔

I'm not sure why the leaves are so droopy. We follow the watering schedule and instructions to the "T." They say 3 ice cups once a week, and no direct sunlight. The window she is in front of doesn't get direct sun. What do I need to do? #4

First time repotting a plant, my orchid. About to bloom so I really hope I haven’t disturbed her. Also added some fertiliser to her too. Wish me luck 🤞🏼 #OrchidLovers #OrchidOrg #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict

Mold in my orchid Went to water my orchid and noticed there was some mold near the top of the roots. I haven't noticed it before. Good or bad? How do I treat it?

What going on with my orchid? When I rescued this #PhalaenopsisOrchid it was in pretty rough shape and all the flowers and buds fell off. Then the last remaining bud stayed and opened and was good for about a month or so. Then the last few days I noticed new growth that I wasn’t expecting. The old flower died and fell off and now it’s doing this and I don’t know why. #GregGang #HappyPlants #NewGrowth
