What other plant parents say
If you’re a low-maintenance kind of plant person, maybe don’t get a larger dracaena. Mine has been finicky and I didn’t do enough research prior to purchasing. If you can’t live without it, know that…
I saved this baby from a former roommate who had forgotten to water it for...months? Not sure how long. Anyway when I got it, it looked dead but I thought maybe if I could revive it — and I did, than…
It’s super easy to take care of especially since i’m new to plants , I LOVE IT . It’s like my favorite one I just water it according to greg and it has done great so far . It already looks bigger and…
S L O W grower. Arrived as a big fat stick. Water and wait. And wait, then wait some more. This is a few years old. Even so, I like it. I feel accomplished growing it from a little log. The leaves la…
If you break a piece off, no worries! You just got yourself a new plant✨ it’s a slow grower and doesn’t like direct sunlight so it’s perfect for anywhere in a room (as long as the room has windows)
Keep the leaves fresh from dust by wiping them down bi-weekly but its a very low maintenance beauty.. i have it in indirect sunlight and it still has beautiful green lush leaves
I feel like i never really know what it wants. hard to see if it has any growth but easily see all of the leaves dying. not sure if it’s me or the light but ya
It hasn't grown much since I bought it (7 months) but it hasn't died either. An alright plant, really pretty but it hasn't made any progress with me
Loves light and needs lots of water. My roommates and I see dry soil often and fill up a jug to water her. Then do it all again two days later.
I truly love my corn plant but it needs something extra! It’s leaves are browning and twisting also but it’s my favorite!
How to care for Cornstalk Dracaena
Cornstalk Dracaena needs 0.5 cups of water every 12 when it doesn’t get direct sunlight and is potted in a 5" pot.
Use our water calculator to personalize watering recommendations to your environment or download Greg for more advanced recommendations for all of your plants.
Cornstalk Dracaena can tolerate being far from a window and light source.
Place it less than 6 feet from a south-facing window to ensure it receives enough light to survive 💪.
Select your city to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Cornstalk Dracaena in your home 🏡.
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Cornstalk Dracaena after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.
