I could be wrong about this, but I think those temps are going to be too cold for a ficus!
@emmybee that’s what I figured. Should I chop the stem off with the most damaged leaves or just pull the damaged leaves off?
@PlantEuphoria Are you planning on keeping her outside?
That’s cold damage if I had to take a guess.
Looks and sounds like cold damage Hanna. I would bring Sahara inside, remove damaged portions and give that sweet ficus some extra TLC.
@emmybee yes i planned on it but now I’m not sure lol
@KDkat3 thank you for the reply!
@Captjo thank you for the reply!
I’d bring it in and cut the damaged parts. It should bounce back.
@KDkat3 thank you!
Just going to chime in - don't be alarmed if it drops a ton of leaves when you bring it in. These are the finickiest of the ficus' and are known to throw fits and drop all leaves. πŸ™ƒ. I am planning on mine doing it already....
Yeah I would echo @Captjo. Full disclosure - I know nothing about outdoor plants, but in my ficus experience, it’s just going to keep getting more and more damage as it gets colder. I’d bring it in, healthy prune, and lots of humidity to bring it back to its usual self!
@PlantEuphoria yes Ficus’s are so finicky. They are drama queens. @PlantMompy is correct πŸ’―
