These are more recent pictures of my props, (so Iβm gonna repost these and delete my earlier post if you already saw it. π
)
They are doing good so far, Iβm keeping them under my grow lights, & watering them *LIGHTLY* every two or so days when the tray looks dry. For me itβs easy to prop them & get them started, the hard part is remembering to water them once they can no longer rely on the mother leaf for nutrients/water. They dry out much quicker than a mature succulent so you have to be sure to keep them moist while they are in that stage. I have a lot of time invested in these guys, so I really want them to grow into their own plant. Like I said I have success in getting them started, itβs the keeping them alive once they are on their own thing that I struggle with π©.

@Mommaplouff response to your question on my deleted post about how long it takes to prop-
It takes about week or two to start seeing root growth, and about a month or so to start seeing leaf growth. Itβs a pretty long process because they have to go through a lot of stages (first you take your leaf and stick it in dirt, you have to wait for root growth, then you have to wait for your plant to start growing, then you have to wait for it to get big enough to detach itself from the mother leaf, then you can give it a very small pot, or cell for it to start taking off and maturing) I would say it takes a couple months total, I started these in the beginning of September.

@Mommaplouff itβs somewhat a slow process but itβs worth it because you can make endless amounts of plants from your leaf props. Who doesnβt love free plants lol.
@TidyTigerpear The fact that you have such healthy cuttings is a testament to knowledge, experience, and care. π€π€©π
Iβm going to have a rare opportunity to harvest leaves from my friendβs gorgeous succulents, in a forest moss ball, tomorrow. If it's convenient for you, would you please advise me as to the best areas for selections?

@DesertGreen healthy green plump leaves!! Make sure you remove the leave cleanly by slowly twisting it off, careful not to tear the leaf too much. You want a clean end with no tears or openings so it has a good chance to root.
@LovablyTule98 yes they can be hard to take care of at first, but after caring for them for a while it gets easier.
@PlantAgenet117 thank you (:
@Charli3Plant omg! I love them! So adorable. Really love your graptopetalum titubans! Iβm hoping I can get mine to grow into adults! They are one of my fave succs. The last one is also super cuteeeee π₯° they look like little stars ππ€
