About Dieffenbachia 'Camouflage'
Dieffenbachia was cultivated in England before 1759 and upper Amazon indigenous groups are known to have used their calcium oxalates to make poison arrows. Dieffenbachia flowers can generate large amounts of excess heat which botanists believe attracts potential pollinators to the flower's warmth. 🐝

How to fertilize Dieffenbachia 'Camouflage'

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Dieffenbachia 'Camouflage' after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

New plant! So I “accidentally” ended up with another plant. I was casually walking through my local nursery because I was bored that day. I noticed they had several varieties of #Dieffenbachia for only $10 each! The one I picked out is a #DieffenbachiaCamouflage and she’s loving her spot on my dresser! I’ll put in a few pictures of the day I got her (June 4) and today (June 13). She’s growing in two new leaves so fast! The first two pics are the day I got her and the last three are today. Welcome home Penelope! #HappyPlants #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

Screaming the BIGGEST thank you to @Mrgncrch for introducing me to this app. She has also kept me sane-ish and sweetened with her amazing cookies the last few weeks lol. The BIGGEST thanks to @RJG and #greggang on #greggetsspooky for the ability to get this beautiful Dieffenbachia Camo. SERIOUSLYYYYYYYY The smile that hit my son's face when that plant baby arrived was priceless. I'll tag him his name is Camo-Leon (pronounced chameleon) since he is green also like the lizards AND they both are camouflaged 🤣🤣 Lastly, the BIGGEST thank you to @JCPlantProper for doing all the things at plant proper! I know they are plants, but each one was bought for a purpose that means a lot. She has picked me out some BEAUTY'S. The last few weeks have given me zero free seconds to share much on here but if you haven't ordered from the plant proper, PLEASE do. Everything is so beautiful and thriving! My home oasis is literally a dream come true! Sharing so much more soon but here is a peek at my bedroom that I'm in love with 😍😍 #happyplants #mooreplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #plantproperfanclub #plantproper #greggang

Drooping and yellowing leaves I’m at such a loss with my huge diffenbachia camo. She was SUCH a beauty when I got her. She seemed happy for several months and then her leaves started hanging down more than sticking up. And then leaves started to just turn a pale yellow and become thin. As for my watering, I was following the app and it seemed to be watering too much because that’s when it all started. So I ignored the watering for this plant from the app. But now I’m not sure. I wait a couple weeks in between because the pot is deep (because the roots are deep!) So it’ll be super dry the first several inches but still moist down deep. When I repotted and provided new soil a few months back, it didn’t appear any issues with the roots. They seemed great. But I just don’t know how to get her perked back up again. I’m willing to try a grow light, but I would need tips because I’m so unfamiliar with them. (If it’s a matter of light.)

What type of plant is this? Hey plant people 👋🏾, does anyone know what type of dieffenbachia this is? Does anyone have one? It has these cool ridges on the back of the leaves. Just wondering if the leaves are going to straighten out. #HappyPlants #PlantAddict #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #Dieffenbachia #RarePlants #PlantID #

Bought her a new pot and plant food, also misted her after I got off work ❤️ #Dieffenbachia

I inherited this plant from work. It’s looking a lot better than it did before, but now the leaves are curling and I don’t know why. It doesn’t receive direct sunlight, but it does receive light from north and east windows #Dieffenbachia

I've been nursing this one back to life for a while and it finally seems stable but it hasn't grown a new leaf in maybe two months? Not sure what else I can do to promote new growth #Dieffenbachia

Help? A combination of my own issues has fueled my personal unease regarding my houseplants. I need a pragmatic voice amidst my delirium. Is this truly a plant on the verge of death, or am I overreacting? I’ve already asked around and, with help, determined that this plant is overwatered. But I recently flipped out over a pest infestation from another plant supposedly spreading to this one—not sure what led me to that conclusion; it was late at night. Is it a reasonable suspicion that he has a pest, or was I in a tizzy? His top two large leaves (pictured in the first photo) have been “drooping,” but I’m considering the possibility that the two smaller leaves emerging from the same stem are forcing the larger ones to grow more lopsidedly. Are they actually drooping from a problematic cause, or is it a product of the new growth? #Dieffenbachia
