How to fertilize Tomato Plant

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Tomato Plant after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Today I have to say goodbye to my tomato plants. They’re my first ever vegetable, and throughout their growth I’ve had immense support from Greg Fellas - especially thanks to @princesspitstop who has been through my tomato journey for a while now. I’ve had to move homes to help my partner commute easier to work, which also meant downsizing. I do not have enough space for them anymore - plus the season is also near end so i will have to watch them go away soon in a month or two. #TomatoPlant

Why is my tomato stem dying out? The rest of the plant is healthy except this yellowing major stem and its side stems …the buds on it are now withering and the leaves too #TomatoPlant #VeggieGardens #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

Why is this one tomato stem a bit different in colour? seems to also have a few dried branches here and there - I’m worried! #HappyPlants #VeggieGardens #TomatoPlant @princesspitstop

Warty growths on my best tomato plant I've been growing these guys (four total) since I left a store-bought tomato out too long and the insides sprouted. I repotted them into individual containers about a week ago, and this one recently started getting lumps and bumps. Is it something to worry about? I'm done taking chances on weird growths and really hope it's just cosmetic but in case it's not 😬 I want to take action sooner rather than later. #tomatoplant #weirdgrowth #plantwarts #planthelp #sos #sickplants #advice #greggang #greggers #help

Going on a vacay with no plant sitter, help needed! So if you all are following me already I have these four little tomato plants and I’m a first time mum. This christmas and New years I’m going on vacations and since I’m in Australia it is summer here. I want to make sure i water my tomato plants enough and also get them to survive 4 days and then 7 days after without me (2 vacays). I will be back between them so I can give water but these plants have been so thirsty they’ve been demanding water once or twice a day - the heat has been a lot. they’re drying up easily. Do you suggest I bottom water them and put them in a tub of water while I am gone? I dont have self watering planter pots - or should I put a water bottle and let it drip out? I feel like the bottled water wont be enough as they need heaps of water. #TomatoPlant @AC73LoveCats @princesspitstop @OhGollyItsJolly

Do I harvest now or wait for the entire bunch to ripen? 2 of them have a bit red-orange colour but the rest of the bunch is all green. How long can this stay on the plant? Do you think I can wait to harvest the whole bunch together? #TomatoPlant #harvestingforhealth #FruitAndVegetablePlants

What other plant parents say

Tomato’s are great plants they are easy to grow, are pet friendly and blooms easily. I am using just some regular soil and some sugar cane mulch. This is good for any type of plant.
I am also growing lettuce, Cucumber, Spinach, Strawberries etc. All is good so far cross your fingers for me :)

I have had this tomato plant for 4 months. I feed and water it weekly. I thought it had finished fruiting, but no, there are further flowers growing. I’ve had to repot once in that time. The fruit are so sweet. The best tomatoes I’ve ever tasted.
