How to fertilize Florist Kalanchoe
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil itβs likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Florist Kalanchoe after it doubles in size or once a yearβwhichever comes first.

Potting Predicament Hey everyone! Back again with my potting confusion. On the 16th last month, I got this Kalanchoe from a Walmart (I think), and it came in this nice little clay boot pot. Well, this lovely boot has no drainage whatsoever. Now, Iβd like to be able to take care of this lovely plant, so should I try drilling holes in the boot? Should I switch the pot entirely? Should I get better soil for it in the process (I donβt know what itβs currently potted in)? Will this plant even survive indoors in North Carolina? How should I go about taking care of it? (P.S., I tried taking the crappy paper sticker off to check for drainage underneath it, it neither came off nor gave in as if there was a hole) #NewPlantMom #pottingadvice #FloristKalanchoe #NCGregGang #pottingsoil

#FloristKalanchoe #Kalanchoe #Kalanchoe the big original leaves on my florist kalanchoe keep withering, I had reduced water and it stayed the same and increased watering and it continued to wither, there are roots coming from the stem and the new leaves that are growing are not withering. Iβve pruned a lot of the original leaves but have not seen this happen with other kalanchoes. Any thoughts?

Not doing so hot οΏΌ Iβm incredibly new to caring for houseplants. My kalanchoe isnβt doing too hot right now, the flowers are beginning to wilt. I do have it in a small pot right now. Do we think getting a larger pot and fresh fertilizer should help turn it around? Thanks friends!!

Help bring her back to life #Kalanchoe My Kalanchoe used to have blooms and over time has lost all blooms and leaves and is struggling. I have a difficult time keeping succulents alive. Any suggestions on how to keep her from losing anymore leaves? She receives indirect sunlight (about 1 ft away from window facing west) and is in a terracotta pot but with no drainage however I measure how much I water her and Iβve been using a spray bottle to moisten her soil

I'm fairly certain my succulent is dying. Plz help! So, when I got my Kalanchoe, I didn't realize how little I was supposed to water it. So for three weeks I watered it on Saturdays. But then, its' lowest leaves got all soft, so I stopped watering it so often. I also switched it from a bright desk lamp to a north-facing window. But now flower buds are dying. The unopened buds are drying up and both those and open flowers are more fragile. For example: I bump it with my hand, a bud falls off. Does anyone have any ideas/diagnoses?

I havenβt had a lot of luck with my Kalanchoe. It nearly died on me last year just months after getting it, Iβm starting to think it was poor conditions at the place I got it from but since repotting, it seems to be getting healthier now but havenβt had any flowers since :( fingers crossed we get them soon!
