Should I chop it? New plant mom here! I got this Costa farms Aglaonema (the ones with the small plastic cages left around each plant) and decided to try and gently cut those out now rather than later. I still lost a few smaller roots in the process but not many, put it back in the same nursery pot, gave it a good water, and placed it back in its spot (north facing window). However this black spot has shown up on one of the stems. The poor plant is in shock right now so Iām hesitant to do anything drastic to it out of fear of killing it⦠but this looks like I may have nicked it and it got infected? Is there something I can do to help? Or is it better to chop this piece off? It looks like the leaf closest to this spot is yellowing and the other older leaves on this stem might be turning as well, but Iām not 100% sure yet #Aglaonema #plant #PlantClinic #helpneeded

Sticky clear sap on leaves #Aglaonema I can't see any pests but there are droplets of clear sticky sap. It seems fine otherwise, am I doing anything wrong/should I be concerned?

However one of the leaves has these blister like spots on them, and it seems to be getting worse / growing⦠does anyone know what they are or what I should do about them? Itās only this leaf affected #PlantClinic #Aglaonema

Mealybug battle? I found yesterday evening while giving my plants a drink that there looked to be mealybugs on the back of one of the new leaves on my #Aglaonema ⦠I checked my other plants and saw a couple sus areas on my other Aglaonema and my Philodendron. I havenāt seen any on my Maranta but it was right next to them⦠I sprayed them with pesticide and dabbed the still visible spots/bugs with rubbing alcohol and quarantined them in my spare room⦠Iām new to houseplants and new to this battle. Iām pretty confident they started on my Silver Bay (Iām thinking they may have been in the soil because Iāve had the plant for 2 weeks and have been looking I THOUGHT pretty closely for pests lol). Does anyone have any other suggestions for getting rid of them? I also have bonide I plan to try next time they need a drink. Should I repot my Silver Bay? I really donāt want them spreading more or getting worse⦠#bugs #PestsAndPlants #sickplants
