What a gorgeous fern! 😍 I love themπŸ’š what I do to mine is repot them into a mix of all purpose/perlite/coco coir/coconut husk chips/ vermiculite so it’s draining but also retains moisture for them. Then also mist them a few times a week if not daily. Mine are also all under grow lights during the winter. Hope this helps!πŸ₯°
I have mine under grow lights for the winter. I still lightly water every couple days so they don’t dry out and I mist them lightly daily. I do have a humidifier in the room and it seems to stick in the 50% range. as soon as spring warms up enough at night I get them back outside asap. They survive the winter but they don’t love it. They grow like crazy once I get them back outside and water daily. I tend to split them every other year once they outgrow my hanging planters on my porch.
I have such a love hate relationship with ferns lmao my fluffy ruffle fern had died off to next to nothing and after doing my damndest to kill it, I found bottom watering, a pebble tray, and filtered sunlight to be the things that helped it the most! My fern is still one of my biggest drama queens but I feel like the biggest thing was just a boatload of humidityπŸ’— best of luck with your beauty!
🀣🀣 "150th time's a charm" I feel that in my SOIL. πŸ˜‰
@sarahsalith Right?! πŸ˜‚ I’ll never give up on ferns!!!
I recommend trying an ET fern. I've had this one about 30 years now with no special care. All the other ferns I tried to grow are long gone.
@Tropicalgia 😍 Wow! That’s impressive! I’ll look for that verity. Thank you for sharing.
