I ventured out this morning to inspect the plants before the sun becomes too intense and bright. I’m back inside now, but not before capturing a few photos. The greenhouse is incredibly humid this morning! The acclimating outdoor plants are looking remarkably better. Hello my loves 🫶🌿 Happy Tuesday #TheWateringHole , or should I say, happy #untidytuesday 😏 (It’s ALWAYS #untidytuesday at my house, ha ha ha! 😂😄…🥺😭😭 ) It’s been hot here, the last few days (80° F 🥵) and we are all looking forward to rain 🌧️ ☔️ tomorrow and in the 60°’s again, ahhh 🧘‍♀️. Plus that means I might not have to water anything outside 🤞🤞 I’ve been putzing around, doing planty chores, and checking on all my props from @IdPlantThat 🥰 Practically EVERYONE has been doing great 🙌 My new favorite method of propagating!: Perlite + a ziplock bag + my own hot air 🌬️ I live in a cool, wet climate, as most of you know already, and I had horrible luck with sphag. It always molds 🦠 instantly, or at least, within 12 hours 😵‍💫 I love this perlite + bag method because it is not inducive to mold growth, roots grown in perlite are more like soil roots already, and each bag is its own humidity box AND quarantine station! update on my prop box!! hey, #GregGang a while ago i decided to cut up my pothos and try a water prop box. i change the water once a week put it on the top of my shelf with lots of light! i checked on it recently and BOOM!!! she’s looking fantastic!! first two are the befores, last is the second. almost all have started to grow new roots and leaves 🤩

@vvvelo you’ve created a monster!! I found 3 lithops at the garden center the other day and I’ve always told myself if I found one, I would try again. I don’t know how those other 3 succulents got here. Wow. I am blown away with the kindness and generosity of @Idplantthat 😱😱 I just got #plantmail and the best kind. 🥰🥹 There are so many new plant bébés!! In fact it’s taken me a few days to make sure everybody’s situated, either propping or potting up. Not only did I get unique and special plants, Dragon fruit!? variegated African milk tree/euphorbia trigona?! 😱 Tricolor Cuban oregano!! Vicks plant, reed orchid, Persian shield, abyssian red banana, raspberry canes, multiple beautiful begonias, and even some mystery corms, how fun!! Rachel went above and beyond with sending me wish list plants 🥰♥️🥰 A freaking variegated anthurium!! 🤯philodendrons galore: brandi, majestic, ruizii, red Congo, green goddess, a strawberry shake?! 🥹alocasia odora variegated 🤩 scindapsus jade, I’m SURE I’m forgetting some. EDIT: plus a pink syngonium, ginger, turmeric, agave, pineapple, and a MoT! Better late than never is the slogan for today’s #saplingdash 😍 It’s been a while since the last update, but I can’t believe it’s only been 4 months since these guys were just seeds 🥰 our little contestants aren’t all so little anymore, and could definitely be called saplings! I think I’m going to keep up the dash for the first year, for science, and for any poor soul who follows in my footsteps on their bonsai journey hehe. Everyone now has their own profiles and names now. First off, we have the twins, Homer and Virgil! (Pic 1) These #pigeonpea contenders have been getting taller and taller! They’re dropping their bottom leaves now, looking a little more tree-like, but I’m excited to see the next steps in their development! Next up on the #blacklocust team, we have the Plants’s: Planty, Sir Plantsalot, Plantolita, and Plantosaurus Rex (pic 2, in no particular order) They are really shining and have become quite impressive! They’re starting to branch a bit and I’m so excited to see how they grow! On the #bluejacaranda squad we have Xena, Hippolyta, Artemis and Athena. (Pic 3) We are feeling girl power with this one! Very pretty and impressive, they’re my personal favourites, (shh don’t tell the others) And last but never least, we have Dolores, our lone #crepemyrtle is still kicking! She’s been looking a little droopy the past few days though… maybe a little cheering from the crowd can help her pull through… Plans now are to get everyone who hasn’t been repotted into some spacier homes, and reorganizing for the most optimal light for everyone, as they’re growing so much it’s getting harder to do, but I can’t help but love my little green corner (pic 5) Thanks for joining me #greggang, you’ve all helped me step up my plant game so much! Heyyy! I absolutely know I’m going to forget to post in the morning, so I’m getting it in early for #FreshLeafFriday (are those still a thing? I’ve been so out of the loop) 🪴 Without further ado: new leaves (first one open; second one still furled) on my burgundy #Ficus. These are the first new leaves in a LONG time—it did not get enough light in that tiny apartment I just left! Now it has front row seats to the sunrise every morning 🌅 Then, we have my rehabilitated variegated #StringOfPearls, which a friend gave to me in a sad, shriveled little vine with one lonely root. Now look at it go! 😊 Bonus pics to use all 5 spaces (why not?): watered all my growing babies and #Propagation s this morning. I love these cute 1” clear plastic pots! They are perfect for propagating!
