How to fertilize Cathedral Window Haworthia

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Cathedral Window Haworthia after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Does anyone have any tips on care for these babies? Dolores is new to the bunch.. #PlantAddict #CathedralWindowHaworthia

Will she perk up? 😳 When I unboxed her, she looked like someone stepped on her. I gave her roots a good soak, planted & watered her. I drilled holes around the vase and glued on feet bc now I’m afraid of root rot lol. Such a fine line with succulents! Do you think she will fully recover? The 4th pic show her today, 5 days later. She’s still pretty deflated..as my ego will be if she dies. #worriedplantmom #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #SucculentSquad #lovesuccs #help

Underwatered haworthia? I recently repotted this plant and found that she has barely any roots. I gave her a good water and let her be, and now her leaves are hollowing out. They feel firm and dry, so I don't think I've over watered her, but I'm not sure how to help her out. Thanks #cathedralwindowhaworthia

Well guys, I finally got him to plump up by leaving him in water a few days. He still looks like he was stomped on 🥾, but his leaves are much less squishy! Before/after. #Haworthia #HaworthiaHangout #watertherapy #SucculentSquad #Succulents #LoveSuccs

Root rot, I may have over cared for my cymbiformis a little too much. He has been unhappy since the day I got him I need some intense instruction on how to make him happy again please! #RootRot #Haworthia #help #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

☀️ Sunlight Needs

🐶 🐈 👶 Toxicity
Greg does not have confirmed data on this plant’s toxicity. If you, a family member, or a pet consumes plant material of unknown toxicity, it’s always best to consult a medical professional.
If you or someone else ingested this plant, call Poison Control at US (800) 222-1222. If a pet consumed this plant, contact your veterinarian or the ASPCA at US (888) 426-4435.
💨 Humidity
Cathedral Window Haworthia prefers dry environments. Providing extra humidity or misting your plant allows water to linger on leaves, which can create the perfect environment for harmful types of fungi.
🪴 Soil
Cathedral Window Haworthia is very sensitive to wet soil, so choose a potting soil that drains very well and doesn’t retain too much moisture. A good soil will have lots of perlite or vermiculite for drainage and some organic matter for nutrition. A few handfuls of perlite added to regular store-bought cactus soil will do the trick!
💩 Fertilizer
Cathedral Window Haworthia grows very slowly and doesn’t require added fertilizer. Replacing your plant’s potting soil once a year should provide them with more than enough nutrition. Remember, plants get their energy from sunlight, not fertilizer!
❄️ Dormancy
It’s common for Cathedral Window Haworthia to go dormant in the summertime and you may notice their growth slow down. Waterings should be spaced out more during this time.
🌎 Native Region
Cathedral Window Haworthia is native to Southern Africa.
🌸 Flowers
Cathedral Window Haworthia produces flowers in the wild, but does not flower when kept as houseplants.
🧐 Troubleshooting
When troubleshooting a sad-looking houseplant, start by checking for signs of distress in its leaves, such as yellowing, browning, or drooping, which can indicate overwatering or nutrient deficiencies.
Inspect the soil moisture; too dry or too wet soil can cause problems.
Ensure the plant is getting the right amount of light, as too much or too little can stress it.
Finally, consider environmental factors like temperature and humidity, and adjust care routines accordingly to revive your plant.
