Time for the children to go out and play! Now that the weather looks like it’s going to be staying in the 60s 70s and 80s. I’ve been loading my greenhouses inside my greenhouse with plants that have so far managed to survive. Leaving pretty much only my newbies inside. MY EXPERIENCE, PLANTING SUCCULENT SEEDS: The guide said to soak the seeds for 24 hours then moisten the soil and place the seeds one by one on top of the soil with a toothpick. Well, in 24 hours the seeds had formed a gooey mucus slime around themselves and a toothpick could not separate one seed from the other. So I rigged a syringe so that I could suck up the glob of seeds with some water surrounding them and spewed the ooze onto the top of the soil. Eventually, the seeds at the bottom of the cup could be sucked up without the goo. So I was able eventually to spread the seeds out a little bit although as you can see, I have way too many seeds in each section. I popped the lid on top of the tray and we’ll wait until tomorrow to see what it all looks like . They say that succulent seeds don’t easily germinate so perhaps I don’t have too many seeds in there. Actually, I know I have way too many seeds in there, but tomorrow when things are not quite so gooey maybe I can pull some of them out. If any of you have any experience in this, let me know where I went wrong. I think I really wasn’t supposed to soak the seeds overnight because some instructions say to soak them some instructions they don’t soak them. Look what I got! You were right it’s a really cool book. Lots of good information. I’m not sure I want to do decorating with succulents, but who knows. I might be taking a pottery class so I could make some terra-cotta pots in the future. Look at this geogous mama... I bought her with MYR8 (approximately USD1.95), she's blooming and has 4 pups. The nursery worker said she was just newly arrived when I was paying her at the counter after I told the worker at the cashier that I love her beautiful looks and the 4 pups she is having. Btw, she's haworthia cuspidata. Tbh, I'm very nervous with her even though I have 2 haworthiopsis at home. 😅 #plantsmakepeoplehappy #haworthia #succulentsquad

Got all but one of my new birthday plants potted up in their new homes yesterday! 🪴 I also haven’t showed you guys my project I have been working on with my shells I brought back from the beach recently. I put them on two of my pots & a plant stand using super glue. I really like how they came out & it was fun to fit them together like a puzzle! I decided to put my Gasteraloe ‘D Tiga’ in one & my Haworthia Angustifolia in the other. I also potted my pink Syngonium in a pot with a watering tray so it evenly waters it, & also let it spend some time next to the humidifier today. I love the colors! 🌸 Lastly, I repotted my Speckled Hoya Carnosa & my Black Cardinal Philodendron. OMG! I’m gathering some plants to water and what do I see?! My H.attenuata Bones HAS A FLOWER GROWING!!! Hope everyone is having a good weekend, Im pretty busy this weekend! Today my grandma had a yard sale, so me & my boyfriend went to help as well as sell some things. We plan to use the money we made for our day trip to Carolina beach tomorrow! 🌊 I’m super excited since we haven’t been to the beach in a while & haven’t gone on a trip this year together. Although it’s not summer anymore and won’t be as warm, which means I most likely won’t be able to get in the water 😞 I’m still happy that I will get to see the water & sand as well as smelling the salt! 🏝️ My grandma was selling these plant stands & since I liked them she gave them to me. ( photos 1&3) she also gave me a pup from her Haworthia since I repotted it for her while I was there. 🌱 I also had a few plants I didn’t sell at the yard sale, so I kept them & repotted them when I got home. The weekend is sadly coming to an end.. 😭 but I will say I had a good weekend and stayed pretty busy 👏🏻 I also did lots of plant chores & related activities. Got new pots & much needed dirt, I got to replant more than a few plants that were due for repots, & the rain took care of my watering for the next week or so. Here are some pics from my northwest window, which I call my haworthia window. It holds all of my haworthia & similar plants like my alworthia, gasteraloe hybrids, & aloes even an Adromischus. Generally I just feel like haworthia are so underrated as far as an easy plant/easy succulent. There are so many different types, and they can vary so much from plant to plant.
