~ First, did you happen to repot the plant recently? If so this could be transplant shock. The most common sign of transplant shock is leaf scorch. Leaf scorch results in bronzing or yellowing of the tissue present along the leaf margins, significant reduction in the plantβs growth and brown wilted leaves that droop drastically, shortened internodes, which can result in shortened branch tips, sometimes plants that are suffering from transplant shock result in dropping leaves, leaf rolling, and leaf curling. ~ Carambola plants/trees have only limited tolerance to drought. Symptoms of excessively dry soil conditions (drought) include leaf folding, leaf wilting, yellowing and browning of the leaves, leaf drop, reduced flowering and fruit size, stem and limb dieback, and in severe drought, tree death.
~ The tree is an evergreen in warmer climates but will loose its leaves when temperatures drop below -3Β°C (27Β°F)
