Propagation ~cali sunset graptosedum

So I have this stalk of Cali sunset graptosedum, that sadly rotted at the base of the stalk, it started to recover but got rained on again and just was over it. I decided to go ahead and cut, but it already had a baby growing on it prior to the chop. What would be the best was to go about propagating this plant ? Just leave it in a dry medium & remove remaining leaves ?
8” pot with drainage

I would make sure you make a clean slice at the base (get all rot off) and cover that with cinnamon. Then just leave it on the counter out of direct light for a good long while, and it should start to push out roots. Each of those leaf nodes on the stem is a potential set of roots!
@Dustmite should I remove the other leaves at the top as well then ? To increase my chances of having more then one lol?
If you want to have many, then you certainly could... leaf propagation will take months though. Patience should pay off eventually; you have plenty of leaves to work with there!
@Dustmite i meant taking leaves off, & in turn making them grow from the stalk like the one already pictured? Instead of using the actual leaves to propagate. Hope that makes more sense lol.
I don't believe that would work, the plant should only put out pups if it is rooted in soil
@Dustmite oh okay I didn’t realize that! Thanks
