What tree is this and what can I do for it?
Just bought a house this year with an irrigation system. This tree has been fine until now. Does anyone know what tree this might be and why it’s suddenly declining in health? I’m in Arizona and don’t have “freezing temps.” Thanks! #OutdoorGrowing #TreeHeath #landscapes

I am not a tree doc, but it does look like this tree isn't getting the water it needs. Have you checked to make sure the irrigation system is working? If you carefully dig a small hole about three feet away from the tree does the soil have any moisture? I might try manually watering this tree for a few weeks as well as your system, letting the bucket sit overnight to clear the chlorine. Urban environments can be hard on trees glad you are attending to this one. This could be a Madrona in which case the peeling bark is not a sign of poor health.
