I thought it was there yesterday too but couldn’t be sure, and I don’t know how well the difference will show up but I don’t care!!! The edges did end up crisping though which doesn’t look too pretty but is a good sign the damage has stopped happening and started healing. My best guess is someone tried to remove this guy from an established Amagris plant and caused a super stressed state and then was overwatered. But I’m so new with these guys any other theories would be appreciated!!!! I’m also gonna change his name to Dracula 🤪 the OG Pale Guy story that took on a life of its own….. yup. This guy is absolutely Dracula 😍 @RealSimpleMama any name suggestions before I change it??

@RealSimpleMama omg moby dick can be the damned silver dragon Alocasia 🤪 he will be getting nekkid when I find a suitable Vase 🤩 nekkid Alocasias are an obsession rn 😍 and it will almost look like a whale spout with those giant silver sheened leaves…. Maybe a fat vase with a thin mouth…. as for Van Helsing….. hmm. There’s a name I need to think on which plant it suits…. Maybe the hibiscus I’m planning on turning into a bonsai 😜
@PoisonIvys ooooh I was thinking red for Van Helsing so a hibiscus 🌺 color could be good!

@RealSimpleMama there’s also the whole van helsing/werewolf thing 😝 therefore a tree stock I’m gonna turn into a bonsai?? Yup. Plus the red is good!! Then I need a frangipani bonsai for Anna….. Ishmael will probably be the second silver dragon it looks like is in there, haven’t tickled their sensitive bits yet though so not 100%
@PoisonIvys what is this? I’m assuming it a digital moisture meter but not sure what the other reading is. I wouldn’t mind getting one.
@TwistedThreads temp, Australian over here so it’s in Celsius. I brought like 20 of them for under $50 on eBay. Reptile enclosure or pet terrarium accessories are usually a good place to find useful things too, they’re designed for humid lizard terrariums so work great for plants that have similar needs. Heat pads and the like for reptiles can be slightly cheaper than those marketed for plants. Lights are good too, a lot of them double as heat so have to be careful but they’re generally designed for plants that are in with lizards or frogs or stick insects. I like fish tanks personally but I’m thinking about an upright terrarium for some of the philodendrons
