Hello everyone, I posted this as, kind of a joke. 🃏I found this growing on my property. Here is some “beautiful” 🧐flowering stink vine 😷also known as a Chicken Excrement Plant 🐓💩 and Flatulent 💨Vine. It is growing in with the muscadine 🍇. I thought the flowers 🌻 looked cool so I took a photo. 📸 This stuff smells like a skunk 🦨 when it’s wet. I bet I am the first 🥇person on Greg to post blooming 🌼stink vines😷 but I don’t think I am putting this one in my oasis. 🤔 P.S I didn’t find this at Lowe’s. 🤣🤔😲🤩🧑‍🌾 #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #OutdoorGrowing #TheWateringHole @HFplantoasis @HummingbirdMint @Idplantthat @ILoveMyPlants @Jadedbelle @Jujube @Luckeecharm1 @ModestCoconut13 @Ms.Persnickety @newplantgirlies @Preciousplants1 @princesspitstop @QuickKalopanax @sarah10orio @Shells_Garden @SillyPlantGirl @SizableSuncup20 @smushface @SolaceInSunshine @RefinedSandwort @Ponytailmom @Blhagmaier @BigPetunia80 @BEsucculent @UnbeatenSoybean @TopCoriander6 @stephongreg @ILoveMyPlants @SpyderLily @Ms.Persnickety @CutePolypremum @DreamMachine @ILoveMyPlants @MariansOasis @SillyPlantGirl @Tiffanypickles @4eva @ @NOLAPhoenix @Devsleafypals #Greggang #TheWateringHole #gracefulspurge #baldcypress
@Malagueña The flower might look cool but the plant commonly known as the "flatulent plant," "skunk vine," or "stinkvine" (Paederia foetida) is a severe Category I invasive species in Florida. And I hope Lowe’s doesn’t sell it!!!😂🤣😅😅
@Ms.Persnickety , I know it’s invasive. 😞I have given up trying to fight invasive plants years ago when I lost my “war” with cogan grass. I have been thinking of a way to find a market by using cogan grass. The best thing I can come up with is grass skirts and grass hats. 🤣 I was thinking about making a cogan grass hat and wearing it while I mow my property. I don’t think I would look good in a grass skirt. 🤣😳🤔
@Malagueña 🐓 💩 🪴 !!!! Oh no 🙊!!!! In Connecticut there was skunk cabbage 🦨 🥬 😮‍💨. Interesting fact on that is it generates its own heat melting the snow around it 😮😲
@Malagueña @Ms.Persnickety this is the Corpse plant at SD Botanical Gardens. Smells like rotting meat 🥩
@MariansOasis 🤔🧑‍🌾🪴🦨
At least it looks cool
@MariansOasis wow!! The titan arum in person!! 😲
@Malagueña LOL Bob 😂😂 I say, you can wear a grass skirt if you want to!! 😜😅

We have looooots of skunk cabbage in Oregon too Marian @MariansOasis Phew it’s stinky!! Luckily none by me (that I know of ) 😳
@DreamMachine , cogan grass sticks, straight up, about three feet. I can make a hat 👒 with the tallest blades. It will give the neighbors 🐕 something to bark at. When the cogan grass blooms I may take photos of the blooms and post them here. 🤔😳🧑‍🌾
@DreamMachine , I have tried everything to get rid of the cogan grass growing in the back of my property. I have even sought professional advice. Certified master gardeners, nursery owners, arborists, horticulturists even a Ph.d botanist. No one knows how to get rid of it. You tube videos, forget it. Alabama is paying people and hiring contractors to get rid of it but not here in environmentally daft Floriduh. Cogan grass is considered one of the top ten most invasive weeds in the world. The best advice I ever received was to mow it. I think I’ll make my grass hat first 👒🎓⛑️🎓💃👗👘
@MariansOasis , maybe there is a corpse in it. 🤔
@MariansOasis , is the Corpse plant a carnivorous plant? Maybe the reason it smells is to attract insects?
