About Hoya heuschkeliana variegata
With over 500 species and even more cultivars, there's a Hoya out there for everyone! They're native to Southeast Asia and their common name, waxplant, refers to their thick, waxy leaves which help them retain water in the heat. They're excellent climbers and will take off if you give them a trellis to grow on. Their other-worldly, star-shaped flowers are often fragrant and come in brilliant shades of red, pink, yellow, and more!

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Hoya heuschkeliana variegata after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Should I check the roots or wait it out??? 😩 I just reported these two Hoya hueschkeliana that I’ve had for probably six months into a bigger pot together. They were doing great prior, but now one plant has shriveled leaves. The other is thriving. This is a super chunky mix with orchid, bark, cocoa husk chips, chunky perlite and a little bit of potting soil maybe. Do you think the one plant is suffering from some sort of root rot or suffocation? I just watered it two days ago, thinking that it had gotten too dry, but the leaves are still puckered. #help #HoyaHelp #Hoya #HoyaHangout #HoyaHeads #hoyahu #NEPAGregGang

Hoya leaves are shriveling, helpppp 😭 My new favorite plant is not happy. I only got it a couple weeks ago and I don’t think it’s acclimating well. It’s under a grow light and within a couple feet of a humidifier. I’ve only watered it once when the soil was dry, and soil is currently damp but not super wet. I’m panicking because this was a wishlist plant I splurged on. 😭 any tips to save this lil guy? I’m newer to Hoyas. (Of note, a couple leaves on the ends were shriveled when it was delivered to me) #Hoya
