Got a label maker like a month ago to start labeling plants better . Course its just sat on the table since lol. But instarted last night and already done a ton more this morning ! Slowly getting there. All those this morning 🙌 . all ready placed last nights labels in their pots. Definately lovingvthe labels though. So much better than my CHICKEN SCRATCH ! Boy was i BAAAD today 😂🤷‍♂️ ! This ladys house i went to today that saud she was purging her plants ! Well@i dont believe her lol. I think thats just her selling tactic! But she has the nicest collection of plants ive ever seen ! Maybe not all pristine but huge thousands of starts cutting full size plants. Just every room lined with cases snd 2 4x4 vivosun griw tents lol . I spent 210$ 😱😱😱 . Jjst got small stuff though . Next up in my happiness spam posts: #hoya bliss: Just wanted to share the prettiest sun stress on my Kicki and my sunrise. Who needs blooms with leaves that pretty? (Just kidding. I do need those blooms. Very much. Desperately. Especially the sunrise gets a daily inspection, as I've heard they are early bloomers 😉) And the Mathilde? She is just thriving, enjoying her new diy trellis. Many of them manifested this Christmas, when I dropped a hint to my father (with specifications) that those would be the perfect present to me this year 😊 And lastly: look at that fluffy delight. The sp. aff. thomsonii is my pride and joy. She started off badly, got almost torn to shreds by my mite infestation last spring/ summer. Them she finally grew and I broke off the new growth. But now? Flouffy, (well to be honest, more hairy than fluffy) 😉 leaves and stems wherever I look. She is growing fast. @TheOddAsity , I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but I think you also were fascinated by those cat kin like new leaves. Just in case I'm correct, a shoutout. If not just ignore it. What fascinates me even more than the hairs is the splash at this point. The cutting I got was almost splash free. I could not have imagined that the splash would make those leaves even more beautiful. #hoyahangout #happyplants

Hear ye hear ye, this is the first of an onslaught of a blissful #orchidlover's and newly converted #hoya fan's spam posts. So much is going well - at least in the plant realm, and that's what we are here for, isn't it? First off: cattleya bliss 😀. just look at these two. The first (unless Greg messes up the order of my pictures again 😉) is my snowflake frosty. She is the first catt whose bloom will be 100% the result of my (and her) effort. Just imagine all those blooms. I only took the plunge into the cattleya realm last year, and I was very skeptical about being able to provide enough light in my dreary northern conditions to get one to bloom. But hey, let this be your sign to get a cattleya 🌸🌸🌸 And the other one, the nakornchaisri ruby? Just look at that plump new pseudobulb. Isn't it gorgeous? And those new roots? She arrived wrapped tightly into a big piece of bark - which might have made sense where she came from, but made 0 sense in my home, so I had to throw caution out of the window and repot immediately. Cattleya lovers will know the risk. She lost all but one root, and I realized later that she must have had some snail eggs on that remaining one, so snails snacked on it for a long time before I noticed. so she was basically rootless. But she pulled through. After months and months, the new bulb is coming in, as are the roots. And she doesn't even seem too stressed. These plants are marvelous. #newgrowth #happyplants

Hi! My leaves are starting to turn brown. I think it might be overwatering? It was potted at a succulent shop in Tempe in a porous pot. They told me to spray Orchids fertilizer on it often. Is that really good for it?

Alright another #ikeacabinet down! For anyone that’s been following the progress of these, I said I’d post as I finished, and here’s the 2nd Rudsta. It’s different bc I added Cork bark to the backing for the Hoyas to grow up (gives something to really grip to). So in some time they’ll grow and fill in the space😍Just need to add a little more wood and maybe a small fountain and it’ll be good I think. Hi everyone! First post here but my Hoya Lisa, “Pete” has been in a west face window the last couple of weeks and doing well! I’m in the Midwest and we are being hit with some pretty cold weather but I made sure none of my plants are actually touching the glass of the window. Today I noticed a brown spotty area on one of Pete’s bigger leaves and I checked and he, like the rest of my plants are pretty cold soil wise but the others (one including a Hoya carnosa compacta) seem to be doing just fine? Is Pete just too cold or should I be worried?? #Hoya #HoyaHangout #hoyaLisa
