My juniper is drying up and becoming brittle no matter ho...

Hi Kestral, do you have a photo? Is it outside? Maybe the pot is too small or the soil is not absorbing water because it became too compacted? You could try repotting into a more moisture retentive soil or bigger pot depending on the situation.
@SFplantlover this is the pot it’s in right now. It does seem like the soil is pretty compact. This juniper was briefly my grandmother’s before she passed away and I don’t believe it was ever repotted or anything.
@StarVipers hi! I think it sounds like it isn’t getting enough water because the soil got too dry and isn’t absorbing anymore. I would remove all the dead dry leaves and check Is there any green growth under the brittle leaves? If so I would probably soak it for maybe and hour or 2 to force it to absorb water and see if it starts looking more green again over a few weeks. Maybe repeat after the soil dries again. But bonsai is something I don’t know much about. Hopefully someone else here knows more about it. Or you could look up how to revive a juniper bonsai on YouTube. I think there is probably a lot of detailed info on YouTube
