If you are planning on keeping this as a potted plant, I would wait until spring to repot. Water when top 2 inches of soil are dry. It is best to place in a sheltered area in the winter, protecting the roots from freezing. It will go dormant in the winter, requiring less watering. I am used to seeing this used as a landscaping plant. It will be interesting to follow its inside growth habits.
