Do you water overhead or directly into the soil? It looks like the top of the plant is wet, which can cause issues with uneven distribution of water, drainage issues, etc.
To me, it looks like it has been overwatered (Iβd have to save several of carnations from my bfβs grandma since sheβs notorious for watering everydayβ¦).
I would repot in a Terracotta pot (it says you have plastic) and let the plant dry out until its next watering. I would also trim back the foliage that looks dried/burnt, they will not come back. Excessive watering may cause leaves to turn yellow and flowers to droop or fall off altogether.
