What’s wrong with Harry??

I got this black pagoda lipstick plant as a rescue from my local plant stand on a very cold Thanksgiving night. Not sure what happened there but he was basically uprooted. So I replanted him into my chunky Grow Queen soil with some extra perlite and stuck him about 6 ft away from an east facing window, BUT he has his own grow light about 1 ft up & out so the crown and the leaves get light.

He was beautiful when I first got him! But look at the second picture: that’s him now. Idk why he keeps loosing leaves. I thought maybe it was damage from the cold and to the roots. At first it was healthy-looking green leaves just falling, but now the leaves are yellowing and falling. So many naked vines, so I tried to wrap and bury nodes but that’ll take time.

What’s wrong? What can I do? I water when top 2 inches are dry.

You've talked about all the reasons for leaf loss, overwatering, underwatering, low humidity temp changes or inadequate lighting. More often than not its a watering issues. How is the humidity and watering schedule?
@AwakeCactus36 it’s about 45-50% humidity in the office. There’s a humidifier in there but it’s on the opposite side from Harry. I water when the top 2 inches are dry, so about every 2 weeks now.
I would look at the pot size (?) maybe causing an over water issue. I just repotted mine into this 4.5" pot. It was in a 3" pot for over a year. It had bloomed like crazy. It sits in a filtered west window but also a grow light for 12+ hours a day. I have humidifier and keep the area between 50-60%. Hope some of this will help!!
It's not you! They are so dramatic and shock from a new home makes them experience severe leaf loss. Mine was nearly naked for about 2 months. You can trim back the naked vines and then she will fill back in with new ones. It took about 2 months for mine to settle and get new growth.
Mine today πŸ’š
@SuperbRaspfern honestly I’m about to give it a drastic haircut,
@RootWrangler Yep, it's worth it for these. She'll come back I promise just be patient with her. They are actually really hearty once the shock passes 🩷
