Day 1 Pothos Stem Prop
So I finally had to take "Aretha's " feather Boa (golden pothos plant potted with her when I purchased her from "Lowes Home Improvement ". They lived harmoniously for 2 years, then Aretha started getting yellow leaves for no reason. Her sister beside her, Matilda was doing fine with the same Conditions. Upon inspection, the golden pothos had shrunk her rootball down to nothing, and was attempting to choke her out. Separation followed. Many leaves looked stressed so I eliminated all leaves, washed roots, got rid of rot 2x and moved them away from the hot windowsill. We will see, but i expect a fully involved stem with a lot of leaves very soon. Because every instance of propping this plant has resulted in excellent if not crazy successes. From my 6ft tall Goldie, on a Sphagnum Moss Pole, getting ready for her first chop and extend, or my random leafless 6ft of stems I potted in a pot covered with dirt, and just left it, now its a beautiful potted specimen, and another on a Moss pole as well. From my experiences Pothos are effortless to Prop and will grow regardless of how u choose to make it happen ! @DaringColtsfoot I hope you are right about pothos being easy to propagate. I am new to pothos plants, but I am wanting to try to propagate a couple to share with my step daughter.
@RefinedSandwort even though all my sisters and my daughter, says I got my green thumb from my Mom rip π. The only Man left in the family has the green thumb π Excellent 4 Me and anyone who can benefit. I never give advice unless I've done it myself, seen someone else do it, otherwise I will say so. And if I did it I will not just say I did it. There will also be pictures..to be succinct! But thats just me .
