It’s Saturday afternoon and despite the forecast of grey clouds ☁️ all day, we’ve got some sunshine ☀️! The last few days were hectic so happy to just hang out today, water some of the 40 waiting for 💦, get some laundry 🧺 done and watch a little baseball ⚾️ 😄. Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a great day and you and your plants are growing. I visited the county master gardeners’s nursery this morning. I bought another giant plum ginger and a passion vine. I am going to start building a couple of these tables for my plants. I thought I would share it here. Here’s what they use in their nursery, two by fours and hardware cloth which is quarter inch chicken wire supported by cinder blocks. The dimensions are 8 foot long by 22 inches wide . I’m a new Alocasia Polly owner- I noticed she was starting to droop so I watered her 2 days ago thinking she was thirsty. She is even more droopy now. Her soil feels dry. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, any suggestions? Cantaloupe for Days!! I started these as seeds in May. By the end of May they had to be put in the ground. Hubby built me 2 “Teepees” for all the plants to grow up on, rather than take over the yard lol. Now- I have 28 Melons!! This is Biancé, just like Beyoncé but different lol I grew her from two #MonsteraAureaMamorata #nodes. She is technically two plants in one but I love the fullness so I’m gonna leave them together. She is truly my pride and joy. I absolutely love her. She legit gives me two leaves every 7-10 days! She was my one first #Node2Leaf plants. Good morning everyone. It’s going to be another hot one in West Central Florida today. I got up at 6:30 AM and finished mowing the front of my property. I’m now sitting in a chair outside eating a banana and drinking some coffee. I planted this banana last year and it was doing very well. Then a, very unusual, frost hit Florida in January. It was unusual because we had two weeks in a row of freezing and below freezing weather. In my 48 years of living in Florida, I’ve not seen that much cold weather at one time. I covered the banana bush multiple times with multiple blankets. Despite all that the frost killed it all the way down to the ground level. This is another plant that I thought I had lost. I cut off all the dead stuff mulched it into the dirt around the plant. Now it is doing very well. I haven’t added it to my oasis until today. Thank you for reading this mini blog.
