TLDR: I got my Greg giveaway gift! Hey, everyone! Good news! So, as some of you may know I won a Greg giveaway raffle a while back and won a gift card to the Greg plant shop. Well, I soon realized that I’m not the right person for this gift card. I felt someone else could benefit from the gift card far more than I could. So I emailed the Greg team and they are all so wonderful. They gladly took back the gift card and sent me a Greg goody box instead! Long story short, the goody box arrived yesterday and here’s all the fun things I received! I got a bag of potting mix, a bag of bonsai jack mix, a bag of chunky perlite, some systemic granules, a super cute plush mushroom, a tiny humidifier, some gardening gloves(that fit perfectly btw!), a really cute moon trellis, rose of Jericho, some super thrive drops, new pots, stickers, Greg stickers, clippers, sticky traps for fungus gnats, plant labels, sticky pads, a pen, little plant anchors, some of those plant clips that let you stick pothos vines to the wall(sorry idk what their called 😅), some potting tools like a scoop, a smaller scoop, and one of those stick things that puts holes in the soil for you for easy planting, a tiny Lowe’s bucket, and a lovely hand written card! Everything is absolutely incredible! I couldn’t be happier! Thank you so much to the Greg team and everyone who donated! You are all absolutely incredible people for making this possible for people like me who don’t have the funds to get new plant supplies. Ahhhh thank you so much @vvvelo !!! 🤯🤩🥳 My succulents from Volodymyr’s giveaway arrived and I couldn’t be more thrilled! Look at all these BÉBÉS 😱😱 #vladimirgivessucculentsaway #volodymyrgivessucculentsaway #vvvelogivessuccs I might need a little help with identifying, if anyone can assist, as the only one I think I know, is the jade, and then perhaps that’s a walking aloe? 😂 Or is it climbing? 🤔 I am determined to do right by these cuties! I live in a predominately wet, cool climate (except for a couple months of dry summer) so if anyone could tell me if they think this substrate is a good mix for succulents in my climate (that tends to make things stay damp for longer)? -1/2 my own mixed substrate (which is 1/3 coir, 1/3 orchid bark, 1/3 perlite) -1/2 bonsai jacks gritty mix Thank you again @vvvelo ! Hi guys!!! I know i look like a newbie, but i’m very much not. I had Greg a while back, and i recognize quite a few of you guys! I’m just going to tell my story here, if anyone would like to listen. :) I am a plant enthusiast. I had 50 plants at one point. Plants have been my favorite thing since i was 10. Some of you might recognize me by my old room. I had a tonnnn of plants when i lived with my parents. I moved out, an hour away, to go to college. I had my own room. It was beautiful. But i ended up falling into a bad state of mind, and i dropped out of college and moved in with my grandparents. I sold some of my plants before i moved back here. It was a really tough thing for me, but it was better for them. Within the last few months, i got so depressed that i genuinely couldn’t do anything at all. I have an open police investigation, i totaled my car, i ended up in the mental hospital, and i don’t even know how im still here honestly. But I am. Sadly, all the rest of my plants ended up dying. I just stopped taking care of them. I stopped caring. I never thought that would happen. Yesterday, I decided to finally go plant shopping. I got myself 5 cute plants, and now i feel like i have a piece of myself back. I’m excited to get my room back into looking like a jungle. I’ve missed that a lot. Hello my loves! 🥰🌿 Happy Friday!! How has your week been? ♥️ I had a magical, or religious experience (pick what you like 😁) in the forest 🌲🌲🌲a couple days ago, and am still feeling the benefits. 🧘‍♀️☮️😌 Powell Butte Nature Park is only 6 minutes away from me and I’m kicking myself that I haven’t spent every single weekend there! (I’d only ever been there as a late-night college reveller OR more recently, barely inside the borders with elementary children for a picnic) 🥴 I can’t believe I didn’t know the trails through the forest existed, and we only did maybe a quarter of them. 😱🌲🪾🌲🌲🪺🍄🌲🌸 As we got under the canopy, everything became suddenly hushed, except for the songbirds and ravens. Lovely old trees covered with moss and ferns. Trilliums on the forest floor and pacific wrens flitting around. 📣 Hey #GregGang, happy April! Spring has sprung in the West and I think it's lovely! Now it's time for another #GregGivesBackGiveaway! I have been so busy this year that I haven't had a lot of time to be on Greg lately, but one thing I know: I want to keep it real! Since I've been so busy, some of my plants have suffered. Do you have a picture-perfect plant that's in your oasis ... but now that plant is leaving much to be desired? Let's build each other up and show some honest images of our plants. Hello my loves! 🥰🌿 It’s #untidytuesday at the #TheWateringHole and holy moly I’m just realizing I don’t think I’ve posted in over a week! 😱 Not intentional, it was rather a hard last couple weeks. Busy/Easter madness/emotional roller coaster. 🎢 Now I just want to take a nap 😴 But I also have 41 plants 🪴 to check in on first 😮‍💨 The other night I sleep-bought a new fertilizer. Okay I *was* vaguely aware of what I was doing but I thought I just put it in my cart…nope! It arrived next day LOL! Anyhoo, if you’re in the market for a good organic fertilizer that literally smells like chicken poo 💩 , boy have I got you covered! But it helped me realize that even though my usual superthrive foliage pro is a vibrant green color—it DOESN’T smell like poo 💩 🙌 That is a HUGE plus to me I never realized, and wow, I totally took that for granted! Here’s some things going on in my neck of the woods. My beautiful begonia maculara flowering, again! Mushroom kit growing. the fertilizer. And some of my little seedlings! Good Saturday morning to all visitors to #TheWateringHole ☀️. It’s a gorgeous Easter Saturday here 🌸🪻🌷🐣🐰. Our daughter and SIL are celebrating her 40th bday in FL to swim with the manatees so we are on our own this weekend + the grandpup 🐕 Daphne 😊. It’s so funny, she outweighs Pearl by 20 pounds but the chihuahua rules!🫅🧝‍♀️🦸‍♀️🤪 Pearl in Charge! Haven’t posted much this week mainly because each day seemed to get away from me 🏃‍♀️. I had a really exciting time last Sunday finally breaking my no more 🪴 🪴 🪴 rule!!! @DreamMachine had mentioned that she had success with FB Marketplace so I just “happened” to scroll through 😆 and found an Open House at someone’s home, but it was for the day before 😭! So asked her if she was planning another and she invited me to come over that day! I went looking for Hoya compacta veriegated, didn’t have 😔. But I found these beauties instead 🎉 displayed so uniquely on the dryer in the garage 😝😑🤷‍♀️. Photo session on schedule for weekend👍🙌 Very excited about Sunrise, Chelsea and big leaf fungii. She gave me the tiny Mathilde free and threw in cuttings from her Krinkle 8 💰 Pics also of new growth on Raven ZZ 🐦‍⬛- it’s soooo green! The Amazing ZZ! I had to share this bc it’s really quite incredible!! Today is the first time I’ve watered this ZZ plant since 01.25.25. Yes, you read that correctly and no, it is not a typo!!! The last time I watered this plant was 1 year, 2 months, and 16 days ago!!!! How wild is that!!! We went to the city today and passed by a plant nursery that was having a closing sale, so we went in and looked around! It was HUGE! I got a handful of plants, but these are my favorites.
