@MamaLinne So I grow my alocasias in a mix of Tezula #5 (https://tezulaplants.com/collections/growing-media-copy/products/ert) mixed with the double-grated perlite chunky mix #4, then a little Harvest Hero perlite, Fluval volcanic substrate, FoxFarm Happy Frog, and Light Warrior (which is also FoxFarm) 😉 Then I water with monosilicic acid, Gold Leaf Standard, Liquid Karma, and Hydroguard Bacillus 🦠 (both of those last brands are Botanicare). If you want any of the links, let me know, and I can even text them to you if that’s easier! 😉 I have a large alocasia in my kitchen right now—its stems are about 3 1/2 ft tall, and the leaves are 12/13 inches wide and long. I don’t have a humidifier that runs in my house, but I keep mason jars of lava rocks with a little water in my planters too to help. Sorry, I know that is a lot of info at once! So the last photo is an older photo I had to move it to a lower level so it could grow more 😉 but you can see the results this way. 🥰
@user424192b6 Hmm? 🤔 That’s a very good question. I use multiple different platforms for my purchases, but I generally prefer to use ‘Shop’ (Greg won’t let me post the shop app link, but you can find it in the App Store). I just like Shop because it’s a verified platform and I’ve had some great finds. (Even some international sellers.) Then I use Etsy, but only from growers in the USA. 🇺🇸 It’s just not as verifiable on Etsy for international sellers, which is why I won’t go that route. But if you see one or two plants in the photos, I’d be happy to try and find what exact store it was. Always happy to pass along the love. 🥰
