My plants I was happily working on today. The blue pot Ocotillo, just sold, so he’ll be making a new home. It’s bittersweet, it’s a favorite of mine. My Kalanchos have gone wild. They are a little of a mess. Plant friends!!!! I’ve missed you! Took a little “social media break “. Sometimes you just gotta. I was struggling in all aspects of my world. So I have a beautiful zebrina alocasia in my kitchen, and she’s gone absolutely wild this summer. The smallest leaf is the oldest leaf, and the largest is the youngest. You can see her growth difference. I LOVE monosilicic acid; it works beautifully for alocasias. This particular one, I’ve grown from a corm and is a few years old now. Thought I’d share a few little buddies! The first two Hoyas are some new buddies: Hoya bird of paradise and a Hoya Meredithii (Gunung Kapi), the other a purple-vein alocasia; and then my little cute Dino anthurium had a beautiful companion pop up. Hey everyone! I know this is a long shot, but there's a nursery called San Marcos Growers in Santa Barbara, CA that recently shut down their operations. They're still selling off remaining inventory, including a Tradescantia sillamontana variety called "Huasteca Canyon" they originally collected in the wild in Mexico. And no one else on the planet seems to have it! They're no longer shipping plants, so they can only be picked up in person. So if anyone lives in that area who would be willing to help me out with this, please let me know! I'd of course send you all necessary funds and shipping costs, and also reimburse you for your time.
