Just wanted to share a new episode. A few months ago we were offered a propagated division of this gorgeous Black Stem Alocasia, one with 3 leaves on it. It all looked fine in the first days, new vase, great and mixed soil, humidity, lots of hours of indirect sunlight and then...one leaf starts to yellow like in the first photo. I let it stay, replanting shock I thought. Let it stay and reabsorb some nutrients while you are at it. One week goes by, another one gets yellow. Same thing, let it stay as long as you can. 3 weeks go by and then...the first new growth! 2 weeks later...another one! One week later and...this 4th curious one just showed up! The original leaf is the one on the right in the original photo. Good day! #newgrowth #alocasiaaddicts #happyplants #Alocasia 2 0 Comments @FastRedpanama84 · 1d Just a thanks for accepting me looks like a great group🥰 8 3 Comments @nila · 1d What type of alocasia is this? For the alocasia I put them in an aroid mix of moss, leca and bark mostly. And the anthurium I mixed a little succulent mix with the aroid mix. Does this sound right? It seems like these mixes need more frequent watering but how often should I water? These are in a bright window with maybe an hour of direct sun per day. Claude helped me get this far but I’d love some human thoughts :) thank you! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantCorner #AlocasiaAddicts #Anthurium #help #SoilMix #Alocasia 1 3 Comments
